About Eila

I have been caring and teaching for 8 years and work with children from a wide variety of backgrounds and needs! I am currently a second grade special education teacher. I specialize in reading and phonics instruction for students with diverse needs, including dyslexia and autism. I received my elementary teaching degree from the University of Michigan and my masters in education from National Louis University. I have experience with children as young as infants and as old as teenagers. I am also a Japanese speaker!

Eila was our nanny for the summer months (2024) and she is an absolute dream for a baby. My son was 5 months when she started, and from the first day they met, he has been smiling ever since. It's difficult to find trustworthy care as a first time mom, but I knew I found a great fit when I met Eila. She followed my long list of instructions for my infant, and asked questions to ensure she understood my son's needs. She always arrived on time, and provided helpful tips on developmentally-appropriate play. She always arrived early, and when I finish my work day, she has everything prepared for me (e.g., bottles) so that my night is smooth with my baby when she's gone. I couldn't have asked for a better nanny this summer, and I will continue to hire her in the future!
