About Eileen

I am currently a 4th grade teacher at a successful charter school in Manhattan and previously taught 2nd grade and kindergarten. Working with kindergarten students means that I am proficient in teaching students the very roots of the English language, phonetic and phonemic awareness, reading skills, comprehension, and transferring these skills to writing. I have also done additional tutoring with English Language Learners to ensure they gained the reading and writing skills necessary to progress to the next year of school. About Me! I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Minor in Education. I also have a Master's in General Education and Special Education (Grades 1-6). In the past, during the summers I worked at Camp Oasis at sites in Point Lookout and the Lower East Side as a group leader, dance and theater instructor, and program director.
