About Elizabeth

I have my Bachelors Degree and Teaching License in Early Childhood Education (Birth-3rd grade), a concentration in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Special Education (K-12). I have a variety of experience in different areas of childcare and a huge passion for kids of all ages. I just moved here from Vermont where I had worked at a preschool for over 5 years (and volunteered there for 1 year before). I worked with all ages from infants-5, spending much of my first couple years with infants and toddlers and the last 2 years I spent in a new preschool classroom I designed and started. In college I also volunteered at a center with mostly refugee families and student taught in a preschool on campus, a 1st grade classroom and a 2nd grade classroom. I have always loved working with kids and have been babysitting and nannying since I was 11. I love spending time outside, expanding on children's creativity and knowledge and love teaching through play. I have a vast knowledge on all development stages and love to embed learning opportunities into everyday activities. I am CPR/First Aid certified and a licensed teacher (birth-3rd grade). I also know some basic American Sign Language that I've used with infants and toddlers.
