About Ellie

Hello! Nice to meet you. I would love to work for a family whose parents might work full time, need part time/evening care, or even those who just need extra help where necessary! I am comfortable with children with special needs, having worked with (and continuing to do so) particularly children with autism many times. I started working with kids when I was a young teen, babysitting for cousins and neighbors and tutoring younger kids in the neighborhood. This year I began my first teaching job as an assistant teacher at a wonderful daycare. As much as I love daycare work, it can be more taxing working for a center and so I would like to go back to catering specifically to family needs. My skills include feelings-focused communication skills and ASL (American Sign Language--I am not fluent but I teach my students a lot of signs that help them transition more easily into speaking) potty training, and creative outlets for kiddos. CPR and First Aid Certified!
