About Emily

I've been caring for children my whole life. I come from a large extended family, and for six years, I worked for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. There I helped families dealing with hardship tell their stories and access quality care without financial barriers. After becoming frustrated with the systemic issues that were sending families to my office, I came to DC to work on policy and advocacy. I love my work, but deeply miss direct service. Enter, care. com! Now, as a child-free single person, I'm looking to have multiple generations a part of my weekly rhythms while making extra money as I save for a home. I'm fluent in Spanish and enjoy tapping into children's curiosity to create a fun and joy-filled experience. I live in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of DC and would especially enjoy working with families that are within walking/biking/metro distance.
