About Emma

I have been in professional child care for two years now, which includes a little under a year in educational childcare. I started when I was 12 years old at my local dance studio when I picked up some volunteer opportunities to be an assistant teacher to dancers between the ages of 2 and 6. I had a few babysitting opportunities throughout the years as well. When I was a senior in high school, I worked at an elementary school in their before and after school program, working with kindergarteners through 4th grade. Now, I currently work at an educational child care center, looking to provide more individualized care. I have the most experience working with infants through toddlers. I consider myself the kind of caregiver that prioritizes children's feelings and recognize that they are experiencing a lot of new and big emotions. I believe it is important to help them recognize and name these feelings, and also provide them healthy ways to cope with these emotions.
