About Erica

Hello, my name is Erica and I have over 15 years of experience working with children. In addition to being a 'special needs family support specialist' at Advancing Opportunities, I've also been a nanny for two amazing families in the past as well as babysat for others. My experience includes caring for children with severe autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other special needs but I am comfortable caring for those who do not have special needs, as well. Over the years I've definitely learned the importance of patience, empathy, and genuine connection and I think I thrive when it comes to creating a warm/welcoming environment where kids can feel supported and happy. I'm currently on the lookout for a long-term opportunity with a family that feels like the perfect fit!
