About Evan

I have recently relocated to Portland from Jenner, California. I spent this last year working as a nanny for a family in SW Portland. I'm looking for a family in need of part-time or full-time care for their children. I am a college graduate with a B. A. in Jazz Studies. I love teaching music to children of all ages and skill levels! I have experience as both a Music and Academic Tutor. For the past three years, I worked as a Residential Counselor/Caregiver at Plumfield Academy, a residential treatment facility and school for boys (6-18 years old). Working with children with a wide range of special needs, provided me with the opportunity to gain confidence as an authority figure, role model, caregiver, and educator. I was responsible for before/after school, overnight, and weekend care. I'm looking to find a position where I can make use of my unique skills and experiences while creating a meaningful relationship with a family based on great communication and a happy home environment.
