I grew up volunteering in the nursery at church for 8 years, worked at a daycare watching 16-month-olds (1:6 ratio), and was a live-in nanny to a 12-year-old autistic child for a year. I'm known as the baby whisperer in my family because I can get any baby to stop crying and put them to down for a nap.
