About Fauzia

My name is Fauzia and I am a full-time research scientist, part-time aspiring educator. I finished my Ph. D. in chemistry at the University of Chicago in 2022, where I used to participate in an after-school science program where we introduced science concepts to local elementary students. I also mentored minority students in the graduate program as a part of an initiative to improve student graduation rates. I have a passion for getting kids excited about math and science. I don't want to sit and watch your kids watch TV. My approach to childcare is to engage kids and teens in enriching activities (if they are willing) that can help them gain new interests and develop various skills like problem-solving and critical thinking.
