We feel incredibly fortunate to have Gabi as our babysitter. From the moment she joined our family, she has demonstrated a level of care, dedication and warmth that goes above and beyond. Gabi’s genuine thoughtfulness and nurturing nature seamlessly made her part of our family as soon as she started with us. She immediately became an invaluable part of our 3 year old daughter’s life. Anyone who knows our daughter, knows this bond should not be taken lightly. Our daughter was/still is very opinionated and picky over who she allows into her life, never warming up to the dozens of babysitters we tried prior to Gabi, but developed an instant bond with Gabi, preferring to spend time with “Her Gabi” over her own parents she was/is normally glued to. That immediate bond between the two of them spoke a thousand words in itself. Gabi doesn't just look after our daughter, she ensures that every moment they spend together is filled with joy, laughter and learning. Beyond her exceptional childcare skills, Gabi’s reliability, willingness to help at a moments notice and trustworthiness give us parents peace of mind knowing that our daughter is in safe and loving hands. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm are contagious, creating a happy and harmonious environment in our home. One of the things we admire most about Gabi is how she actively promotes her Brazilian heritage while also embracing American culture. She teaches our daughter Portuguese daily, introducing her to the language through fun activities, songs, stories, regular FaceTime calls and virtual interactions with her family and niece (our daughter’s age) back home. Gabi has also effortlessly woven her friends from Brazil, who live in the US, into our lives. She also cooks Brazilian meals that have turned a picky toddler eater into a toddler who will try and eat most anything she cooks. These moments not only enrich our young daughter’s understanding of different cultures but also have created lasting bonds across continents. What truly sets Gabi apart is her open-mindedness and eagerness to immerse herself in American culture. From trying new foods to participating in local traditions and events, even dressing up with our family this year as part of Who family from the Grinch, Gabi enthusiastically embraces every opportunity to learn and grow alongside our family. Despite Gabi’s busy schedule caring for our daughter, her adventurous spirit and eagerness to embrace new experiences have also enabled her to embark on incredible journeys. In her free time, Gabi has explored different states, landmarks, and attractions across the country. From the bustling streets of New York City to the serene landscapes of Colorado, Gabi has immersed herself in the richness and diversity of American culture. Gabi’s exceptional care for our daughter coupled with her adventurous nature and zest for life make her extraordinary. She has proven to all of us that family is far more than blood. Our daughter just started school full time so we can’t use Gabi as much as we would like anymore but we will surely use her whenever we possibly can still. Whoever gets to have her full time going forward is beyond lucky!!
