About Heather

I have always been passionate about working with children. Child care is my calling, rather than just a job to me. I love to nurture children's growth through utilizing my knowledge, experience, and empowering personality. I have 15+ years of experience including full-time nannying, teaching at a daycare, and mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I also earned my B. A. in psychology and my M. Ed. in school counseling. Working at the the Bombeck Family Learning Center, I supervised groups of children, organized lesson plans, and problem-solved with parents. I cared for students of diverse backgrounds and of differing learning abilities. I have been told I am very patient, warm, caring, dependable, and trust-worthy. I am creative and imaginative, always keeping kids busy with fun activities. I enjoy games, reading, music, parks, hikes, yoga, libraries, and creative play, while working with children. I quickly develop trusting relationships and am a very kindhearted person in general!
