About Jacob

My name is Jake and I have tutored math for a year now! Tutoring math is a great way for me to connect with students and refine their math skills. As an 8th grade math teacher I work with hundreds of children every day. It can be nice to have a peaceful one on one math lesson every now and then! On top of being a teacher I direct the math club at my middle school and coach high school basketball. Both of these positions greatly enhance my ability to be a tutor. I understand that math is not always the most exciting subject. Running a math club has allowed me to make certain topics far more engaging. In addition, my positive energy and attitude I've obtained as a coach translates perfectly to math, a subject requiring so much persistence. I look forward to meeting you! I am officially licensed to teach 5th-8th grade math in a school. This includes Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. I am able to tutor any grade from K - 10.
