While working at an independent retirement facility. I become familiar with many of the residents and grew to enjoy their company. This experience sparked my interest in eldercare. After beginning the pursuit of a new career, I was referred to a family who needed a live-in caregiver for their mother whom had mild dementia. I was employed by the family for 3 years! In that time I was made supervisor! I provided personal care, assisted with ADL's, provided companionship, transportation, pet care, and much more. In my most recent position I cared for a gentleman in his 70's. I went on to earn my Phlebotomy Certification and I worked at DaVita Dialysis until being requested to come back and help the previous client in his 70's. Unfortunately he passed away soon after from unforeseen circumstances. This is what has lead me here to care. com. I am CPR certified. Background check available upon request. Great references!
