About Jane

I have been an elementary school teacher since 2013. I graduated from Saint Joseph's University in 2013 with a BA in Elementary Education. After graduating I went on to teach Kindergarten and First Grade for two years at Achievement First Bridgeport Academy in Bridgeport, CT. I then moved to New York and got my Reading Specialist Masters degree from Teachers College at Columbia University. After this, I worked at Achievement First North Brooklyn Prep in Bushwick. During my five years there I taught Kindergarten for three years and also served as the K-4 Learning Specialist for 2 years. In 2021, I started teaching at The Lang School, a school that provides education to twice exceptional students. During my time at Lang, I have worked as a classroom teacher in a 1-2 and 2-3 bridge class. I am New York State certified in K- 6 Literacy. I am proficient and trained in many research based approaches/programs such as Orton Gillingham, Wilson Words Their Way, Fundations, and Reading Mastery.
