About Jeanne

My experience with the elderly started with my father at the age of 80 when he was first diagnosed with pneumonia. He would have recurring aspiration pneumonia for the next 6 years, requiring many hospital admissions and advanced care. Over the next 6 years, I was devoted to my father's care and planning. Although we did have to put him in assisted living, I would see him every day to be sure he had company and someone to advocate for him. I would take him to his doctor's appointments and all follow-ups. I would take him on shopping excursions and to the barber for his haircuts. We would go to the movies and often out to lunch or dinner. I'm known as a very patient and compassionate person. I have great respect and compassion for the elderly. I am comfortable with bathing and other bathroom responsibilities. I would be comfortable distributing medication if properly trained. I am comfortable with wheelchairs and walkers. I would love to be a companion or aide for someone in need.
