About Jessica

Hello Families! My name is Jessica and I am currently a kindergarten teacher for an amazing school district. I am on the search for some part time tutoring gigs. I love reading, phonics, and laying a foundation for math and a passion for learning. I teach my kids that mistakes are how we learn, and there are so many different strategies and ways of learning to get to our answers. I was an early childhood major in college, so I prefer working with children in grades prek-2. I feel the most confident with these grade levels as I have completed course work and student teaching in grades K and 1st. I have experience with curriculums including FUNdations, envisions math, everyday mathematics, and reach for reading. I also love helping my parents come up with plans as to how they can support their children at home with learning. I am looking forward to connecting! Jessica M.
