About Jessica

Hi, I'm a Special Education teacher at a local elementary school. I have my Master's degree in Special Education and am fully licensed in Moderate Disabilities Prek-8 as well as Elementary Education 1-6. In addition, I am in the process of completing training for the Wilson Reading System, a highly structured, specially designed literacy program. I have experience teaching in all subject areas for students with a wide range of needs. I am very familiar with the Common Core Standards and current practices in public school learning and teaching. With my education background, I feel confident that I can provide students with extra support in subjects across all curricular areas. My main focus has been elementary school, but I have ample experience working with kids from age 3 through graduation of high school. As a teacher, I have many different strategies and ideas to best assist kids' learning, and ensure they are able to grasp challenging topics in order to make effective progress.
