About Jillian

I have been working with people with developmental disabilities since I was 18. I also have 3 years solely working with elderly people with developmental disabilities who were high medical need. Also I have worked with a dementia patient in their home for a year. I have worked as a direct support professional and a habilitation specialist before in group home settings and privately in home settings. I was also a house manager for several group homes. I have a lot of experience with high medical needs and also am an expert with behavioral issues. I've often been put in high behavior houses because I have an ability to calm individuals when they are having issues. I help the clients with completing daily tasks such as showering, toileting and dressing, as well as helping with preferred activities in the home and out in the community. I also have experience with housekeeping and meal prep, as at the group homes I have had to prepare meals for 12 or so people on certain nights.
