About Joana

. I am a loving, reliable, and devoted childcare provider with significant experience with ages from newborn/infant through to young adults. My specialty has recently been with infants, where I have worked with babies from six weeks to 18 months as they develop their motor skills, experience tummy time, learn to eat and communicate, etc. I carefully balance the need for structure and routine with an understanding that each baby develops differently and sometimes just needs an extra cuddle. With my background in private homes and daycares, I am comfortable working independently or within a team environment and believe in active and regular communication with parents to ensure they are comfortable with the care their child is receiving. One of my focus areas is on language, where I am comfortable engaging in English or Spanish, and particularly with infants, American Sign Language. I have also worked with students of many different cultural backgrounds and diverse learning needs.
