Hello! I'm Joshua. I have a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I also studied education. I have been working in industry for over 20 years using math to solve problems. I bring these skills to tutoring, where I enjoy explaining math topics to students from elementary math through calculus. I like to explain not just "what" to do but also the "why" so that students learn math reasoning that will help them beyond their current work, and I often use different ways of explaining, from real world examples, theory, and neat shortcuts and tricks so that students can understand on their terms, to build their confidence.
