About Jourdan

Improving the lives of animals has been my passion for my entire life. I have dedicated my career toward this passion and subsequently have gained multi-species experience across many facets of animal care. While earning my degree in Animal Science, I chose to concentrate my studies in animal behavior and welfare. I studied companion and farm animal behavior and learned many techniques to recognize abnormal behavior. In addition to volunteering at animal hospitals with feline and canine patients, I spent 1. 5 years working with canines as a technician where I learned proper husbandry, holding techniques, and common behavioral concerns. I grew up caring for and learning about my own pets-mostly dogs and cats. Currently, I enjoy interacting with my two cats and getting to know them better as they age. I have provided special care for geriatric dogs and cats as well as administer medications as needed.
