I love working with kids. It has been such a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I think that fostering growth and development is so important for kids, especially at a young age. I believe that every child deserves to be treated like they matter. I currently am pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at IUSB with a minor in Special Education. I student teach in 4th grade at Edwardsburg Intermediate. I like to cook, bake, music and enjoy going to concerts. I love to spend time with my two dogs and my family. I was a tutor in high school and enjoy helping children with schoolwork. When did I start working with kids? - Volunteered in my church nursery from ages 15 to 19 with children from 1 to 24 months - Served as a babysitter weekly for 10 kids between 2 and 11 during adult Bible study group - Started volunteering as a middle school youth leader in 10th grade. I currently lead a group of 8th grade girls. - Worked with special education students in a painting class
