About Julia

Hello! I have experience with children as young as infants all the way to young adults in settings such as preschool, social work, summer camp, sports, and, of course, caretaking. My last role was working as a Lead Preschool Teacher in Newton, where I was employed there for over a year and a half. I graduated from UMass Amherst with a BS in Psychology and minors in Education and Biology where I took plenty of courses related to child development. I am CPR/AED/First Aid certified and trained as an EMT back in college! I'd describe my personality as caring, patient, hardworking, and attentive. I have been working with kids since I was one, when I babysat in high school. My caretaking really developed in college when I met several families who referred me to others, expanding my network of those who needed weekly or occasional care. In my spare time, you can find me working on my art: I participate in a pottery class weekly and paint. I also enjoy caring for my plants, I have over 40!
