About Julia

I first began to work as a mother's helper when I was 12 years of age and I have continued as a babysitter and caregiver ever since. I have worked with numerous families in Charlottesville, Crozet, and Keswick, as well as abroad while living in Spain. I have experience with children ranging from ages of six months to 12 years. In May 2016, I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Spanish Literature and Culture. For two years while a student at the university, I was a Medicaid-paid personal attendant for a child with special needs. Post-graduation, I was employed by Spain's Ministry of Education as a teaching assistant in Ourense, Galicia. I assistant taught English and art classes at an elementary school. While living in Galicia, I provided private English lessons to students of varying ages and was a nanny to a 4-year-old girl. I am fluent in Spanish and comfortable speaking to children exclusively in the language if so desired. I also provide Spanish tutoring.
