About Juliana

I have been tutoring math since 2010. I center my tutoring practice around guiding questions that encourages students to take control, learn concepts, and simultaneously build confidence. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn math, succeed, and even fall in love with the subject. I have worked with students from elementary school age through college--covering topics from addition/subtraction to calc 4 to logic and set theory. I love working with students of all ages and work really hard to create a safe and encouraging environment for learning. Though I have loved math since I was in elementary school, learning and succeeding in school didn't always come easily to me. I ground my work in these experiences of struggle. All it takes is one person to care--and that's the kind of teacher and mentor I am.
