About Kaitlyn

I'd describe my personality as creative, kind, patient I like working with kids because it's rewarding to witness a child's early development and growth. Children see the world through such a unique and special lens and I love moments when I get to see glimpses of life through their eyes. I'm looking for a family with one child between 6 months-5 years. One that is looking for consistent care but can offer some flexibility. I began working with kids when about 12 years ago when I was a teenager. I sat consistently for the same families for consecutive years for children ages 1-12. Currently I am working as a teacher in a Montessori preschool with children 1-4 and have been happily working there for a year. I am seeking a new position because my commute is a bit long. When Im not working with kids, I am a practicing ceramic artist and run a small private ceramic studio in astoria. I went to school for fine art and love integrating the arts in my work with children!
