About Karissa

Hi! Looking for other covid-conscious families in the Seattle area. I've been taking care of kids since I was a kid as a babysitter and camp counselor. I majored in theatre education and worked in a preschool and a children's museum right out of college. I've been in Seattle for about 8 years now and I've been nannying for kiddos ages 6 months-2 years. I also teach theatre classes throughout the year to Pre-K through middle school aged students. I supported a small group of elementary school students in-person during their school's remote learning by being everyone's timekeeper, taking care of them when they weren't in class, tutoring them in anything they were struggling with, and coming up with extra, fun activities to supplement what they were learning in class. I love to sing and engage children with movement, dance, and music, do crafts, and meet animals. I am currently a freelance theatre teaching artist and looking to supplement those hours.
