About Karla

I am a NJ certified educator, looking for summer work. I also have extensive experience working with special needs population and have been certified by both the state of Maryland and New Jersey as a caregiver for work in group homes and other facilities. I have been trained in CPR and as a first responder. I am a single mom of two special needs children (now grown), one of which has an autism spectrum disorder. I also love animals and have an extensive background working with them, both as a zookeeper and in my own home. I have also run animal therapy programs and have a certified therapy dog. I have a bachelors degree in biology and a Masters in Education, as well as other certifications, so helping kids with homework is not a problem.
