About Kathleen

I'd describe my personality as creative, passionate, and patient. I love sharing my passion for the German language and the cultures of the German- speaking nations. I too struggled with learning the language from traditional methods and formats and feel that gives me an edge over those to whom language learning comes easily. I push my students to gain proficiency in a low-risk, high-communication TPRS and Comprehensible Input formats that helps them gain the confidence and understanding they need to use the more complex language grammar structures. I like tutoring because I can help my students find their confidence and love of learning. Language is an essential part of connection. I so enjoy helping connect people and build my student's confidence and proficiency. I am new to private tutoring, but have been teaching German for 9 years.
