About Katie

I am a fully credentialed teacher in the East Bay Area who prides herself on organization and creative solutions. I've been teaching for the past seven years after graduating from Saint Mary's College. I spent five of those years in a public Montessori 4th-6th grade classroom, one year in a 1st-3rd grade classroom and am now focusing on 5th grade in a traditional public school. For the past two years, I tutored students in reading, writing, math and history after school. A big focus of much of my work with my students is on the executive functioning skills of organization, time management, follow-through and identifying needs/ helpful strategies. Before I went full-time as a teacher, I worked my way through school as a babysitter/ nanny and pet sitter. I absolutely loved my time with my families and am looking forward to establishing connections with more Bay Area families!
