About Katy

Currently earning a degree in Speech Pathology. Experience working with children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disorders. I speak ok Spanish from having a minor in Spanish linguistics and speaking it with my husband. I would love the opportunity to work with your kiddos and get to know them! I'd describe my personality as flexible, enthusiastic, and patient. I like working with kids because no child is the same and every child gives me a unique view on life. I'm looking for a job that is rewarding and makes me feel like I am making a difference. I started working with kids when I babysat but I started in a work environment when I was 17 as an after school theater teacher for 2nd grade. In my spare time, I like to go hiking with my husband and dogs. No thing is too small to mention about your kiddo if it will make them feel more comfortable with me. I would love to hear about things they like and don't like before meeting them.
