About Kelly

I'd describe my personality as kind, adventurous, contemplative. I like working with kids because there's so much to learn from a child's perspective. I'm looking for a job that allows me some time with my own children in late afternoon/evening. I began working with kids when I was 11. I watched my neighbor's kids who were toddlers. Then I became a camp counselor, worked at a daycare, was a swim instructor at the YMCA, and earned a teaching degree. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, and do crafts. One thing you should know about me is I like the outdoors and am not a huge fan of screens for kids. I personally don't have a TV and want to interact with the kids rather than having them on devices. My skills include general parenting skills (I'm raising 2 kids myself), helping children explore the outdoors, and keeping everyone safe.
