About Kelsey

Hi! I'm a motivated educator with a six-year track record of nurturing student growth, driving equitable practices, and building school culture at a high-performing charter school. I approach my teaching with a focus on critical thinking, investigation, and discussion. I strive to foster success for every learner through effective differentiation, technology integration and hands-on learning, and effective relationship building. I received top scores in my graduate program's blind observation process, and have measurably increased student engagement at both of the charter school for which I've taught. I consider myself an advocate for students and work to develop relationships based on trust and empathy. I see students as whole people, and it is important to me all of my students feel safe, empowered, and challenged. I'm a licensed teacher in general science 8-12, biology, chemistry, and special education in MA and am also comfortable with science and math K-10.
