Hello, my name is Kira and when I describe the best version of myself it is always as a camp counselor. I have worked with young people for the past 10 years as a classroom teaching assistant, summer camp counselor, backpacking guide, environmental educator, babysitter, and of course, older (cool) cousin. I truly believe that the future of our world is in the hands and minds of young people and all of the interactions I have with them are founded in a desire to nourish and help young people fulfill their biggest dreams. I am an active individual who was captain of my varsity basketball team in college and love to backpack and hike. Additionally, I have worked as a teacher on an organic ranch and have developed age, location and interest based curriculum for students 4-15. I have my wilderness first aid and CPR certifications and ensure safety and health as my first priority when providing childcare.
