I'd describe my personality as energetic, easygoing, positive I like working with kids because I think child care is the most important and rewarding job in the world. Helping parents guide their children through their most formative years is such a special and humbling privilege and I find it incredibly rewarding, it brings me a lot of joy I'm looking for a job that allows me to have evenings free to spend time with my husband. I can also offer some tutoring as I have my degree in Mechanical Engineering, so lots of experience with math. I started working with kids when I was 13 years old. I babysat and nannied for about 3-4 years and I also have about 6 years of tutoring experience with various subjects In my spare time, I like to lift weights, walk my dog, paint, cook, bake and walk around hiking trails or parks. My skills include: red cross certified lifeguard with deep water rescue, CPR and AED certified.

We had the pleasure of having Kjarstie care for our kids part-time over the past three weeks, and she has been an incredible babysitter. Her energetic and positive personality shines through in every interaction she has with the children. Despite it being a part-time role, she made a big impact, not only helping with playtime but also tutoring them in math, turning what could have been a challenge into an enjoyable experience for the kids. Kjarstie’s experience as a lifeguard and her calm demeanor were invaluable when my son was stung by a jellyfish at the beach. She handled the situation with great care and made the right decisions, for which we are very grateful. What stood out most was how sweet and creative she was with the kids. She always found new ways to keep them engaged, from swimming and beach activities to fun, creative projects at home. Because of Kjarstie, we were able to work peacefully, knowing that our children were in safe and caring hands. We highly recommend Kjarstie to any family looking for a reliable and loving babysitter
