About Kjerstin

I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education, as a nursery school teacher, in Early Intervention (Birth-age 3), and as a nanny. I have been a teacher at a nursery school for the past 15 years. I was the Extended Day teacher, which included a mixed-age group of children, 2. 9- age 6. Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to work with the youngest children as a morning teacher. I have also worked at a local summer camp with 2-year-old children. Although, I have mainly worked with children Birth to age 6, I am also comfortable with older children, and enjoy seeing how children have grown. I am energetic, insightful, and organized, as well as caring and warm. I strive to understand each child's interests and feelings, and enjoy elaborating on their play, providing art materials, reading stories, going on adventures and spending time in nature. I am a teacher and a mother of three children and understand the importance of providing a safe and nurturing space for your child.
