About Koni

I absolutely adore working with young people. I feel like kids are a funny way of reminding us to laugh in life at times. My experience of 5 years in childcare has allowed me to display patience in every way. I feel that both communication and patience are key when interacting with children. I have displayed these attributes in my role as a camp counselor, tutor, and a swim instructor over the years while also being an undergraduate student. While doing so I have obtained (current) certification in CPR, First Aid, and water safety. This speaks to my priorities regarding safety with children as well. When supervising young children I ensure their safety, well-being and provide my best effort in fostering an environment for comfort and positivity. Understanding this, I do implement fun activities and times for children in everything we do. This includes both tasks like chores or homework or simply free time for arts and crafts or games. I am attentive, easy going and a friendly face!
