About Kristen

Hi there. I am a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience in Pre-K to third grade. During the summer of 2020 I started tutoring so that I could help kids and families navigate through a tough situation. I enjoyed the one-on-one sessions as well as the relationships that I was building with each of my students and their families. At the end of the summer of 2020 I decided to register with the state and start my own tutoring business. My business has been operating for 3 years and in that time I have created many personalized lessons, activities, and games to engage my students and make learning fun. I work one-on-one as well as with small groups of 3-4 students. My tutoring ages typically range from preschool to third grade, but I'm am comfortable focusing on reading and writing for students in grades 4th-6th. I was also a nanny for many years so my experience with children is pretty broad.
