About Kristin

I am an art 25 year national board certified teacher that loves talking with and serving as a companion for elderly who may want to learn about art, hone artistic and play skills. Art can be autobiographical and can create a sense of pleasure and purpose for lonely days. One of my clients is 89, a Jewish woman who travelled and collected art her whole life. She had no plans to be an artist yet we are currently working on her 6th painting. 5 previously have been framed and taken by her children and grandchildren! We are now working on a serious of portraits of Jerusalem to create an art show at her temple/ synagogue. her. Not all days are productive art days . Sometimes we read about artists from parts of the world that inspire. Sometimes I remind her to eat and make soup for her and we look outside at all the beauty that surrounds us!
