About Lakyn

I'd describe my personality as caring, sweet, and friendly. I like working with kids because I enjoy seeing their personalities develop. I also enjoy playing and helping the kids learn new things. I started working with kids 6 years ago when my niece was born and I would help watch and take care of her. I also worked at an elementary school last year, which required me to work with kids all ages. I'm a full-time student at Howard University studying Maternal & Child Health Education but in my spare time, I volunteer with Jumpstart to read to preschoolers and help them develop much needed socio-emotional skills. I also enjoy reading in my own time as well as going on walks and trying new recipes. My skills include empathy, patience, child development. I have a pretty flexible schedule so if the times listed don't work for your family feel free to message me as I may be able to make some adjustments.
