About Laura

I like working with kids because they are so interesting, so incredible and funny and straightforward. Every kid is such a joy in their own way and I like helping them learn the world and spending time with them. I started working with kids when I was a kid myself, being a mother's helper for a neighbor, then becoming their babysitter when I was around 13. I ran a small summer camp a few hours a day out of my backyard from when I was 12 to 14, then babysat through junior high and high school. One thing you should know about me is that I really try and get to know the kids, by talking to them and playing with them and really getting into their worlds. As someone who had a lot of babysitters growing up, I know how important it is that there is trust and comfort in that relationship.
