About Laura

For the last three summers, I have worked as an overnight camp counselor at Camp Hazen YMCA. I worked with kids ages 5 to 14 with diverse interests, skills, and developmental levels. My role extends beyond mere supervision; I design and lead activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. From crafting art projects to organizing outdoor adventures, I ensure that every activity is not only enjoyable but also safe. I also have experience working as a babysitter for children of all ages. I understand the importance of creating an engaging and nurturing environment for every child I care for. I know the value of clear and open communication with both children and parents. I keep parents informed about their child's activities, meals, and any other necessary information. I understand the importance of being reliable and always arriving on time. I am CPR and First Aid certified and I am comfortable working with children with a variety of unique needs.
