About Lauren

I started working with kids around the age of 14. I started off volunteering in an Afterschool program until I got hired by them. I stayed there for about 10 years and in between those years I babysat during the summers when I didn't work at camp . I also started working for the Department of Education around age 18 working in classroom settings as a Teachers Assistant . In my spare time, I like to draw and come up with different designs . I like to paint and read . I also love to cook in my spare time. That's actually my favorite thing to do . One thing you should know about me is I make it a point to try and build a connection with whatever child or children I work with . That connection will not only help build trust but also help in creating a nurturing and fun environment .
