About Lauren

My name is Lauren, and I am a nanny operating as an independent contractor out of Portland. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, I have taken professional development training courses on managing child behavior, inquiry-based teaching, child psychology and development, and am ELCCT certified. I have been nannying professionally for over five years, and have experience nannying for twins, children with special needs, sleep training, first foods/baby-lead weaning, baby ASL, potty training, narrating activities to foster rich vocabulary development, and household management. Outside of my nannying experience I have worked in childcare settings including daycare centers, a youth shelter, public schools, and private babysitting jobs. My caregiving style is most closely aligned with RIE, montessori, and gentle parenting. I strive to foster independence, creativity, and kindness!
