About Lauren

Hello, my name is Lauren and I'm available to tutor! I am a student at the University of Pittsburgh studying biology and anthropology. At school, I am also a certified Level II Tutor and a Resident Assistant (RA). I specialize in working with high school students and college students in Biology and Human Physiology but I can help with any high school science or English class, and other classes upon request. Rather than handing your student information, I work with them to answer questions, to ensure they truly learn the material rather than memorize it. I use a combination of assisting with material, providing active study strategies, and utilizing credible supplemental resources to enhance understanding, boost confidence, and increase independence. I am available for online sessions, in-person sessions at the Finksburg library, and other locations upon request. I look forward to working with your student!
