Let me tell you a bit about myself: I had the privilege of caring for my neighbor and other seniors over the last 25 years who have battled LBD Dementia, Alzheimer's, and other various ailments. During their journeys, I was their primary caregiver and offered a range of support and assistance. My responsibilities included organizing and arranging transportation for their medical appointments, managing their medications, taking care of their laundry and light housekeeping, and handling their grocery shopping. Beyond the practical aspects, I also provided them companionship and took them on outings. Thank you for considering my qualifications. Laurie was the full-time, live-in caregiver for my father for almost 10 months. My father had end-stage Lewy Body disease with very challenging cognitive issues. Laurie was an incredible caregiver. She was patient and loving and anticipated my father's needs. She helped him to feel safe and knew how to distract him and redirect him when he had unsettling thoughts or preoccupations (which was often the case). Laurie always maintained her sense of humor and was incredibly proactive in trying to understand my father's sensitivities to medications and in coming up with potential solutions. Laurie was tireless, patient, loving and kind. We were incredibly lucky to have her take care of our dad.
