I have 8 years of childcare experience and have been a full-time, career nanny for the past three years. In that time I've gained experience caring for little ones from the age of 5 months to 7 years old. I have found that a daily routine is hugely helpful for children as the predictability is very stabilizing for them, so I love to create a routine that incorporates daily walks, play time outside, and a creative activity. With a BA in Studio Art and a love gardening, I incorporate arts and crafts and time outside as much as possible, using nature as a way to teach science and it's relevance in our daily lives. I am constantly reading parenting material and expanding my understanding of child psychology, planning activities that support child development and hands-on learning Montessori techniques. I see being a nanny as an opportunity to be a shining light in someone's life as they experience the precious years of childhood, teaching them self love and confidence above all.
