About Leah

Hey there! My name is Leah, and I'm a 29-year-old social worker looking to supplement my income with occasional babysitting jobs around the Dedham area. My experience working in child care is robust--I started working with kids over a decade ago as a babysitter and overnight camp counselor. Throughout my time in college and grad school, I nannied for six families, with children aged 12 months to 13 years. I also coached middle school basketball at the Winsor school in Boston. Recently, I was a TA at the Walker School. There, I worked with students aged 6-9 with unique behavioral challenges. I was trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and worked specifically with kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I earned my Masters in Social Work from Simmons in 2022. Through my education and time at Walker, I've learned to work with kids in a way that promotes healthy social and emotional development. I've always had a great passion for working with kids, and love being around them.
