About Leigh

Hello! My name is Leigh and I am an experienced tutor and caregiver, with 8 years of experience. I began tutoring in high school, when I worked with children aged 8-12, as well as other high school students. I concentrated in writing skills and reading comprehension, as well as elementary math, science and history. I also mentored students at low-income Chicago schools when I was in college, mainly working with 3rd graders. The concentrations of this mentor ship were study skills and goals for the future. Finally, I have worked with rising college students on assembling their application materials, perfecting their admissions essays and improving their standardized test scores. I am a graduate of Northwestern University with a BA in Linguistics, and I am about to start a masters program in social work.
